So I am really enjoying my new pack, the humans are very nice and generally put up with my antics. I am trying hard not to get into too much trouble, but it is hard when I am attached to this nose, it just leads me into all sort of trouble.
I have a brother and sister. My new bro is Sandy (although mom and dad sometimes call him Sandman), he is a buff colored Cocker Spaniel who is all grown up, but likes playing ball with dad. I don't really understand the game, dad throws the ball and Sandy runs after it and brings it back to him, it is kinda weird, i would much rather play tug of war with a rope, but to each his own. I think Sandy doesn't like some of my puppy antics as he seems to be trying to give me a wide berth. I try to be nice and include him in my play, but he isn't really interested. And he hates it when I bark, he really doesn't seem to like it. I am sure I will grow on him, he seems willing to say hello when I am in my crate so that is good. My new sis is Tipper. She is a Black and Tan Coonhound and is pretty old. I think I heard someone say she is 13, but that can't be right 'cause that is like "forever". She might be that old as she seems very content with her life. She doesn't really play very often, but does run outside sometimes and always seems excited at breakfast. She is more willing to tolerate me than Sandy, she just lifts her head above where I can easily reach and walks away. She is nice. I hope they both will like me as much as I like them, it is so cool to be with dogs other than Bassets, I had no idea there were other shapes and sizes. I hope they are both around for a long time to come so we can have lots of fun together. Mom has been taking lots of pictures since I came home, so I think she will be posting some of bro and sis soon. :) Gotta get back to my case, see where my nose leads me. |
